update AED installation

First of all best wishes for 2022! Let's hope that this year will bring us a turning point in the pandemic.

 

Hereby an update on the installation of the AED:

 

As mentioned previously, the Gemeente was not willing to help us with installing the AED and we had to give up on such help. Following the request for volunteers, Maartje and Friso of Heimanslaan 2, kindly offered to provide access to an electricity outlet from their shed. Electricity will be drawn from there and the AED will be installed on the Heimanslaan between Heimanslaan 2 and van Merlenlaan 29 (close to the Hugo de Vriesplein end of the street). An electrician has been there and a plan has been made of what needs to be done. The costs are estimated at Euro 350 including material. Once it is installed and I know the exact costs I shall let you know how much it will be such that we can share the costs. On the basis of 10 households (some donors were anonymous and may not be reached) it will be about Euro 35 per household. We exclude Heimanslaan 2 as they will be generously paying for the roughly Euro 30 per year electricity needed. We hope that the electrician can install the AED in the coming weeks. Thereafter I will be in touch about instructuions for use and possibly a demonstration on how to use it. Hopefully we will never need it. Do not hesitate to email or call me in case of questions!
